Brenden Brown was born and raised in Delray Beach, Florida. He lived in Orlando, Florida while completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees, where he received his Master of Healthcare Administration and Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida. Following his first year of graduate school, Brenden completed an administrative internship at Sheppard Pratt, which is the nation’s largest private, nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, special education and developmental disability services. In this role he developed a training module focused on cultural competency and DEI, conducted an in-depth market analysis to assess mental and behavioral health needs, and standardized consulting engagements within clinical operations. Brenden has a passion for serving underserved communities and being an advocate for health equity and looks forward to serving the Houston Methodist community at large. Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida, Brenden was inducted into the 2023 Class of Order of Pegasus for his work in the Central Florida community. Outside of work, Brenden enjoys traveling, attending concerts, exploring new restaurants, and visiting amusement parks.
