RN – Women’s Service's Jobs in Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group at Houston Methodist can include:
- Graduate Nurse- Labor & Delivery: This team member is an entry level nurse who, under the supervision of an experienced nurse, demonstrates the ability to continuously progress in ability and skill to care for increasingly complex patients, receiving coaching from experienced Registered Nurses (RN) and management and benefits from their practice.
- Nurse Midwife: This team member is responsible for managing and providing women’s health care services related to pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, family planning and routine gynecological needs. He/she will deliver patient care in an inpatient and outpatient setting in an organized and effective manner.
- Part Time Lactation Support Specialist: This team member functions at the Proficient level according to Benner's model of clinical practice and is responsible for women's services patient educational needs to include breast feeding support under the general supervision of the Nurse Director. In addition to functioning as a staff nurse as needed, this position provides professional patient nursing care to a diverse patient population and is considered an expert in a specialty.
