Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic team of 10 cardiologists. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and a collaborative approach to working within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, etc
- Conduct diagnostic procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and intravascular ultrasounds.
- Participate in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative cardiology services.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 interventional cardiology coverage.
- Contribute to the hospital’s quality improvement initiatives and clinical research programs.
- Engage in community outreach and education programs to promote cardiovascular health awareness.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology fellowship program.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in interventional cardiology preferred, but exceptional candidates with less experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in the latest interventional cardiology techniques and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
