Houston Methodist Sugar Land is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate outpatient General Neurologist to join a well-established neurology group in Sugar Land (SW Houston).  Located on the hospital campus, the practice consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist.

Sugar Land is located 20 miles SW of downtown Houston. Fortune Magazine recently listed Sugar Land among the "25 Best Places to Live for Families."

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of neurological conditions.
  • Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and care planning, involving patients and their families in decision-making processes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to contribute to the collective knowledge and expertise of the neurology group.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR) and comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
  • Valid TX medical license
  • Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
