Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neurologist fellowship-trained in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to join our multispecialty subspecialist neurology group in Sugar Land, TX. Our team consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist, serving the diverse patient population of Sugar Land and the surrounding communities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care for patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of Multiple Sclerosis and related disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and care planning, involving them in decision-making processes.
- Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and multidisciplinary discussions to contribute to the collective knowledge and expertise of the neurology group.
- Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR) and comply with all hospital and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Neurology from an accredited program
- Fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis or neuroimmunology
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology
- Valid TX medical license
- Excellent clinical skills, including history-taking, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
