The Department of Neurology at Houston Methodist seeks a Neurologist specializing in neuromuscular diseases. Located in the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, this is an excellent opportunity to join a premier Neurology Program and hospital. The Houston Methodist Neurology department has a large Neuromuscular Division with eight neuromuscular specialists and an accredited neuromuscular and clinical neurophysiology fellowship program. The division runs multiple ongoing clinical trials and basic science studies funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH). Our interdisciplinary clinics, such as the amyotrophic lateral sclerosis clinic, myotonic dystrophy clinic, and Charcot-Marie-Tooth clinic, have gained national and international recognition. In addition, Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI) provides various research cores, cutting-edge human imaging centers, and web-bench laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art instruments. This environment enables the high quality of scientific studies conducted in neuromuscular diseases.
Qualified Candidates:
- Completed Neurology residency
- Fellowship training – neuromuscular diseases/EMG
- Eligible for a Texas medical license or currently hold a Texas medical license in good standing
- Strong interests in academic missions, including high-quality clinical care and education
