Houston Methodist Willowbrook is currently seeking a Vascular NeuroHospitalist to join a well-respected practice and serve as the Medical Director for a Comprehensive Stroke Center Program in a rapidly growing area in NW Houston.

Position Highlights:

  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of three years of leadership experience.
  • Board Certification: Candidates must be Board Certified in Neurology.
  • Strategic Vision: Play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the inpatient care landscape.
  • Clinical Excellence: Bring a wealth of clinical expertise to drive excellence in patient care.
  • Research & Innovation: Collaborate with research partners and contribute to the development of new diagnostics and treatments.
  • Community Engagement: Contribute to the healthcare needs of the rapidly growing area in Northwest Houston located off U.S. 249.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead internal performance evaluations, create performance standards, and oversee the ongoing development of the program. This role requires balancing internal group development with external collaboration with hospital leadership.
  • Mentor and develop the team, ensuring alignment with the hospital's strategic goals and continuous improvement of clinical and operational skills.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance patient care and operational efficiency, using innovative problem-solving approaches. Leverage data and quality metrics to drive continuous improvement in key performance indicators such as length of stay, readmission rates, and patient satisfaction.
  • Perform a mix of administrative and clinical duties, actively participate in hospital-based committees, and collaborate closely with the Physician Organization (PO), APP leadership, and the CQO to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Must be Board Certified in Neurology and completed stroke fellowship
  • Comprehensive Stroke Center – Vascular Fellowship preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or currently hold a Texas medical license in good standing.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
