Requirements:

Qualifications:

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

• AUDIO - Audiologist - State Licensure AND
• BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA) AND
• Texas Department of Health Infant Screener registration within 90 days AND
• ASHA-CCC-SLP - AHSA-Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology within 90 days OR
• AAA - American Academy of Audiology- Certified by Amer Board of Audiology within 90 days

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations

• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles

• Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations

• Ability to work independently, capable of handling challenging/difficult therapy procedures and patient care situations; demonstrates sound judgment

• Exhibits excellent delivery of customer service to all patients, visitors and co-workers; demonstrates ability to establish and maintain highly effective professional relationships with peers

• Demonstrates excellent time/project management skills and ability to effectively coordinate efforts and outcomes
